About the Role

The Sales Solution and Key Account Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of key account projects and strategies from inception through production implementation and post-implementation phases. The role specifically focuses on Forwarding and Road Freight services, driving results in key areas of the business plan including profit, revenue growth, people development, and reporting. The position will manage key accounts in the Middle East, with a special emphasis on the UAE market.

Duties & Responsibilities
Sales and Promotion:
• Sell and promote the company’s Forwarding and Road Freight products and services to specified industries and key prospects.
• Align to the sales strategies to achieve sales targets and revenue growth.
• Engage with potential clients through various channels, including face-to-face meetings, phone calls, and email communication to achieve assigned goals.
• Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
• • Client Relationship Management:
• Establish the company as a premier solution provider for express and domestic logistics to identified prospects.
• Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients, ensuring a high level of client satisfaction.
• Serve as the main point of contact for key accounts, addressing client needs and concerns promptly and effectively.
• Conduct regular business reviews with clients to ensure their needs are being met and to identify opportunities for additional services.

Product Positioning and Implementation:
• Position the entire portfolio of forwarding and road freight products to clients, highlighting the unique value propositions.
• Implement new logistics solutions for existing and new customers to increase loyalty and dependency.
• Coordinate with internal teams, including operations and customer service, to ensure the seamless implementation of solutions.
• Monitor the performance of implemented solutions and make necessary adjustments to optimize results.

Business Development:
• Service, maintain, and penetrate new and existing business for continued growth.
• Identify new business opportunities and actively prospect and sell to these.
• Develop and execute business development plans to expand the client base and enter new markets.
• Participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking activities to promote the company’s services and generate leads.

Account Strategy and Planning:
• Conduct customer analysis to understand client needs, preferences, and purchasing behaviors.
• Create and implement account strategies to achieve sales and revenue targets for key accounts.
• Develop customized solutions and proposals based on client requirements and company capabilities.
• Collaborate with the sales team to ensure effective application of sales and negotiation skills.

Reporting and Analysis:
• Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for the Head of Sales, providing insights into sales performance and pipeline status.
• Analyze sales data and market trends to identify areas for improvement and opportunities for growth.
• Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sales activities and results.

Team Collaboration and Development:
• Engage with the sales team to share best practices, strategies, and market insights.
• Mentor and support junior sales team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
• Participate in training and development programs to enhance sales skills and product knowledge.

Requirements

Education and Certification

·         BSc degree in Logistics, Business or equivalent

·         Masters in Business Administration – an advantage

Experience

·         5 – 7 years of experience in selling/key account management in service companies, preferably in forwarding and road freight sectors.

·         Applies Service Product and Customer Technology knowledge.

·         Proven track record in closing deals with both large and small companies.

·         Managing key clients in UAE/GCC/Worldwide.

Supply chain/Logistics/Last-mile experience.
